Sitatunga Private Island Camp

Conservation tourism organisation Great Plains has launched a selection of ‘romantic bucket-list-in-the-bush experiences’ across its Botswanan camps. 

These include : 

Magical Mokoro at Sitatunga Private Island Camp 

At the newly opened Sitatunga Private Island Camp, there is the chance to by ‘personally poled’ along the waters and channels, of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Sitatunga Private Island Camp also provides ‘the most authentic Robinson Crusoe experience’ at the new Réserve-Collection safari camp, made out of recycled materials. 

Private bushdDinner under the stars at Selinda Camp 

This Relais & Châteaux culinary experience, available at Selinda Camp, can be tailored to couples’ tastes by expert chefs. Located on the banks of the Selinda Spillway as it enters the Linyanti River, Selinda Camp is situated on the private 118,000-hectare Selinda reserve. This area is home to elephants by the thousands, wild dogs, and the famous Selinda Lion Pride. 

Floating Sundowners at Zarafa Camp

Zarafa Camp in the Selinda Concession offers a private sunset cruise on the Zibadianja Lagoon Zarafa, Botswana’s first Relais & Châteaux property, is located on the private 118,000- hectare Selinda Reserve. 

Private Dining in the Wine Cellar at Duba Plains Camp (Also available at Zarafa and Selinda) Great Plains’ private dining in the wine cellar offers a chance to sample a gourmet tasting menu accompanied by wine pairings. Duba Plains Camp is located in the centre of the Okavango Delta among palm-dotted islands, flood plains and woodland on a 33,000-hectare private reserve.
