Every week, neighborhoods across Los Angeles host farmers' markets that offer an incredible selection of fresh produce and artisanal food. These markets are also community hubs, featuring local vendors, DJs, live music, and kids activities. Shop local and support small businesses with our guide to LA farmers' markets.

DOWNTOWN LA

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN FARMERS' MARKET

Curated by the diverse Downtown LA community, the Historic Downtown Farmers' Market is the neighborhood's only Certified Farmers' Market. Launched in July 2012, the weekly market features fresh produce, local food and artisans, and live music.

SOUTH LA

CENTRAL AVENUE FARMERS' MARKET

For decades, Central Avenue was known as the heart of LA's African American community, and a mecca for jazz and R&B. Taking place a block from the historic Dunbar Hotel, the Central Avenue Farmers’ Market features a small group of farmers that sell a variety of farm-fresh produce, nuts and dried fruits, and family-friendly events like healthy cooking demos, arts & crafts workshops, and seasonal activities for the entire community. The market is located in the courtyard of the Central Avenue Constituent Services Center, LA City Council District 9.

CRENSHAW FARMERS' MARKET

Located on the Promenade at Cinemark Baldwin Hills (formerly Rave Cinemas), the Crenshaw Farmers’ Market features a dozen local farmers and more than two dozen food and artisan vendors that offer local produce as well as spices, sprouts, breads, nuts, baked goods and fresh flowers. The market also hosts monthly events such as cooking demos, tastings, children’s activities and DJ sets.

HOLLYWOOD

HOLLYWOOD FARMERS' MARKET

There were only a few farmers' markets in California when the Hollywood Farmers' Market launched in 1991 - today it hosts 160 farmers, producers and food artisans. Shoppers range from local families who live in the neighborhood to world-class chefs like Chris Hollingsworth of Otium in Downtown LA. Along with the wide variety of fresh produce and packaged foods, you'll find everything from handmade gifts by barrio.la to fruit and vegetable starter plants by the beloved Logan's Garden. The Hollywood Farmers’ Market also features cooking demos, live music, children's activities, and book signings.

EAST HOLLYWOOD CERTIFIED FARMERS' MARKET
Located at the Hollywood/Western Station of the Metro B Line, the East Hollywood Certified Farmers’ Market offers a variety of fresh, affordable produce and other goods. The market was established in 2012 by the Thai Community Development Center (Thai CDC) to improve access to fresh and affordable locally grown produce in the East Hollywood neighborhood, as well as encourage healthy eating habits.

EASTSIDE

ATWATER VILLAGE FARMERS' MARKET

The Atwater Village Farmers’ Market hosts more than two dozen vendors, including Tutti Frutti Farms, best known for heirloom tomatoes and other organic produce; organic herbs and lettuces from Kenter Canyon Farms; and La Bahn Ranch, purveyors of fresh eggs and other poultry. Artisan food offerings include a wide range of breads, specialty foods, and other locally-prepared food. The family-friendly market also features live entertainment by local musicians. Located at Public Parking Lot 646 on Larga.

ECHO PARK FARMERS' MARKET

A neighborhood favorite since 2006, the Echo Park Farmers’ Market features 15 local farmers offering a wide variety of produce and goods like jams and jellies, honey, vegan galettes, Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales, and flowers from Patty Farms. The market regularly hosts community and family events, such as Summer Vibrations - DJ sets from LA's own dublab sound system.

SILVER LAKE FARMERS' MARKET

Of course the Silver Lake Farmers Market offers plenty of fresh local produce like gourmet mushrooms from Los Feliz-based Fungi Valley. But it wouldn't be a Silver Lake market without vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, used books and vinyl records, and groovy goods like crystals, sage and more.

MID-CITY

THE ORIGINAL FARMERS MARKET

Founded in 1934, The Original Farmers Market has welcomed generations of visitors and locals alike to "Meet Me at 3rd & Fairfax." One of LA's most popular destinations, the landmark open-air marketplace has hosted everyone from President Eisenhower to The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe. Stroll the market and explore more than 100 produce stands, specialty foods, and retail shops. Many of these merchants have been family-owned and operated at The Original Farmers Market for decades.
Hungry? There's a global range of food options, from the famous pancakes at Du-Par's or Bob's Coffee & Doughnuts to start the day; to The Gumbo Pot, Pampas Grill, Singapore's Banana Leaf, Trejo's Tacos, and Monsieur Marcel Bistro for a Parisian-style cafe experience.

HELEN ALBERT CERTIFIED FARMERS' MARKET

The award-winning Helen Albert Certified Farmers' Market features organic and farm fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, fresh fish, flowers and more. The market takes place in the north parking lot of Plummer Park in WeHo.

LA CIENEGA FARMERS' MARKET

The La Cienega Farmers Market opened in May 2000 as an initiative of the nonprofit Model Neighborhood Program (MNP), which is dedicated to vitalizing the community by providing direct support through its Certified Farmers’ Markets and nutrition programs. Popular vendors include Arnett Farms, Ken's Top Notch Produce, Tamai Family Farms, Antipasti LA, Brenda's Peanuts, Cobblermania, and Dave's Gourmet Korean. The expanded food options include AJJ Crepes, street tacos, and The Trolley Stop.

LARCHMONT VILLAGE FARMERS' MARKET

A longtime Sunday institution of the neighborhood, the Larchmont Village Farmers' Market recently added a smaller edition on Wednesdays. In addition to the fresh California produce and prepared foods (don't miss the citrus morning buns from Tommy & Atticus), market vendor Dry Dock FIsh offers free home delivery with a minimum $80 order. Located at Lot 694 (the city parking lot with the clock).

MELROSE PLACE FARMERS' MARKET

There's something for everyone at the Melrose Place Farmers Market. The Certified Farmers' produce goes without saying, but the eclectic vendor lineup also includes Intersect Candles (hand-poured / vegan), Drifter Organics vegan skincare, health & wellness products from Karmic Seeds, 72 Cookies, French pastries by Sweet Wheat Bakery (100% French flour); and bites from Yeastie Boys Bagels, Smok N Joe's Chili and more.

WELLINGTON SQUARE FARMERS' MARKET

Located on the western edge of West Adams, Wellington Square is a charming neighborhood known for its 209 historic homes dating to the 1920s. Opened in 2010, the Wellington Square Farmers' Market offers Certified Farmers' produce, baked goods, prepared foods, live music, and a flea market with jewelry, furniture and more handmade by local artisans.
