ITE HCMC 2023: A breakthrough in the promotion of Vietnam tourism

As one of the largest and most established travel events in Vietnam, the 17th ITE HCMC 2023 will be held under the theme "Connectivity, Growth, Sustainability", a hope of stating solutions in the work of promotion and a power push for the growth of international visitors to Vietnam.

Being endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, organised by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, CIS Vietnam Company and Le Bros Company cooperate to implement.

The event is an annual international travel event in Vietnam and region, ITE HCMC 2023 will take place from 7th to 9th September at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The scale of ITE HCMC 2023 will double both in terms of area and number of booths compared to 2022. ITE HCMC 2023 is expected to attract over 400 participating units from over 40 countries and territories. In which, the booths from domestic units are expected to account for more than 70% and about 30% are international units.

This is the only fair in Vietnam that offers the International Buyers programme with the participation of more than 200 buyers. At the expo, domestic and international tourism businesses will meet and exchange directly in the form of B2B. There is also the participation of leaders of international travel agencies, MICE event organisers, high-class resorts... coming from key and potential markets of Vietnam such as Northeast Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan...), Western Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain), North America (USA, Canada), South America (Chile), Southeast Asia (Thailand, Singapore Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) and other potential markets such as India, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait…

ITE HCMC 2023 will be held in a hybrid format, a combination of physical booths and online events such as 2D Online Booths, and Online Appointment Schedules between international buyers and sellers.

By the end of June 2023, more than 70% of the exhibition area has been registered, with the participation of national tourism promotion agencies and more than 45 provinces and cities of Vietnam. Besides, the Expo attracts the participation of leading tourism businesses, well-known branded accommodation facilities and many companion units. At the Expo, there are areas to experience cultural space, traditional folk art, handicrafts area, coffee …

This is also an opportunity for Vietnam tourism to introduce the new visa policy approved by the National Assembly on 24th June and effective from 15th August 2023. The new policy is expected to contribute to improving the competitiveness of Vietnam tourism and creating a push to attract international visitors in the near future.
