It’s Fiesta Time at Meliá Koh Samui with New Spanish Tapas Menu

The first resort to open in Thailand under Spain’s leading hotel group Meliá is introducing an extensive tapas menu that pays homage to the finer things in life.

Meliá Koh Samui, voted among Thailand’s ‘Top 20 Resorts’ in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, will offer its ‘Spanish Tapas Fiesta’ menu on Saturday and Sunday evenings at The Breeza Beach Restaurant & Bar overlooking stunning Choeng Mon Beach.

The special additional menu by award-winning executive chef Azizskandar Awang and his team features 27 traditional tapas plates as well as Spanish wines and sangria.

Favourites range from shrimps cooked a la plancha with sea salt, parsley, garlic and lemon and marinated seabass fillet in vinegar, bay leaf, carrots and onion to classic Spanish ham and béchamel croquette, and desserts such as churros with cinnamon and chocolate sauce.

In Spain, tapas are much more than just small portion dishes that are great for sharing; they are a quintessential part of the culture.

‘Spanish Tapas Fiesta’ dishes are available The Breeza Beach Restaurant & Bar on Saturday and Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) from 20 February 2022, from 6pm - 11pm. The a la carte dishes are priced from THB 190++.
