Make your own way to the front gates of Boggo Road Gaol, where you meet your guide. You are provided with a flashlight before the tour starts, and you use the light as you step inside the gatehouse. Follow your guide through the infamous prison’s back track, circle, and cellblocks, and hear ghost stories that have been passed on by inmates and guards alike through the years. The leisurely walk takes about two hours, with frequent stops for photo ops and eerie stories. At times, your guide asks you to turn off your flashlight during the stories in order to experience the haunting atmosphere within the walls more fully. Your night tour ends at the Gaol Shop where you are given a complimentary book, The Ghosts of Boggo Road Gaol, and have time to browse the souvenirs.
