2016 AUS-X OPEN CONFIRMED FOR SYDNEY

The largest supercross and freestyle motocross event in Australia – the AUS-X Open – will return to Sydney this year with a line-up of world-class talent set to compete over two nights of breathtaking action from 12-13 November.

With the inaugural 2015 AUS-X Open deemed a huge success at Sydney Olympic Park, the event will once again be teaming up with the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

NSW Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events and Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said the 2016 AUS-X Open would be a highlight on the NSW Events Calendar.

“The AUS-X Open was a fantastic event in 2015, attracting almost 10,000 domestic and international overnight visitors to Western Sydney, Mr Ayres said.

“I am pleased that it will be returning in November 2016, having once again been secured for the State by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

“The AUS-X Open promises to be even bigger and better this year, I look forward to seeing the world class line-up of riders who will be taking part.”

The 2016 AUS-X Open will be held at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (formerly AllPhones Arena).
