Singaporean brand, Banyan Tree, will open two new properties in Queensland, including Banyan Tree Residence Brisbane, a luxury $150 million private residence oriented to capture the Brisbane skyline from Kangaroo Point. The organisation has also acquired prime real-estate at Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast to build a landmark 426-apartment complex over two towers.

Construction on Australia's only W Hotel is underway at 300 George Street, Brisbane, with the $800 million, 305-room six-star hotel scheduled to open by the close of 2017.
