Cairns Aquarium
A $50 million aquarium is set to open in Cairns by January 2017. Once completed it will have more than 3 million litres of salt, fresh and brackish water displays to showcase the incredible species and habitats found exclusively in Queensland's tropical north.

Bundaberg Rum $7.5 million visitor centre upgrade
Bundaberg Rum, is undergoing a $7.5 million upgrade to its visitor centre. Set to open in July 2016, the changes include a new interactive self-guided tour, alfresco-dining area and function facilities. Bundaberg Rum's Bundaberg Blenders Edition 2015 took out top honours at the 2016 World Drinks Awards in London after being named the Best Rum in the World. The win signifies the first time that an Australian brand has taken the major prize at the World Rum Awards.

Gold Coast Airport $300 million upgrade
Escaping to the Gold Coast will be even easier with a $300 million upgrade to the Gold Coast Airport. A three story international terminal and four new aerobridges will be built to prepare for the massive influx of international visitors for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
