THE NORTH COAST TOURISM AWARDS HAVE EXPANDED TO EMBRACE NEWCASTLE, PORT STEPHENS AND THE HUNTER VALLEY

The North Coast Destination Network (NCDN) has expanded its annual Tourism Award foot print to embrace Newcastle, Port Stephens and Hunter Valley tourism operators to assist the Hunter Regional Tourism Organisation host an awards program in their region with the pending the announcement from the State Government from the review of tourism in regional NSW and the future sustainability of RTOs.

“We have changed our footprint and our name to the 2016 North Coast and The Legendary Pacific Coast Tourism Awards and will stage the gala presentation night in Port Macquarie on the 30 th July,” said NCDN and TLPC Executive Officer, Ms Belinda Novicky.

“The North Coast Destination network has attracted the interest and support of these other popular regions because it is currently the largest and strongest regional tourism authority in NSW.

“Newcastle, Port Stephens and The Hunter are part of The Legendary Pacific Coast (the major touring route from Sydney to Brisbane) that is owned and operated by the North Coast Destination Network.

“It makes sense that we embrace our TLPC partners for these popular awards that are focused on building business, regional pride and networking among our peers. We are all very much looking forward to the expanded event.”

The North Coast and The Legendary Pacific Coast Tourism Awards aims to :
  • Recognise and promote excellence in tourism.
  • Support improved business planning, development and internal analysis of tourism businesses as well as celebrate the creativity, professionalism and innovation of the region’s tourism industry.

The Awards are an online submission and site visit based competition for all tourism businesses and industry suppliers.

Entries close on July 1, 2016 and the Gala Awards Night will be held on Saturday, July 30.
