GET A TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE

Street festivities, music, food stalls, fine dining, 'meet the maker' events and tasting experiences are on offer everyday this month in the Riverina. The Taste Riverina Festival showcases local food, wine and produce and has started with a 40-stall Red Carpet Day in Leeton, followed by a regional wine long-table fine dining experience in a vineyard setting near Griffith.

Taste Riverina is supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSW, as part of the Regional Flagship Events program.

The Chair of Riverina Tourism, Greg Lawrence, said: “The Riverina is building its reputation as a food, wine and agricultural tourism destination, with Taste Riverina attracting visitors to our region for a mix of food, culture and authentic rural experience.

“Here’s our opportunity to showcase the rich resources we enjoy in our rural communities. In fact, the Riverina is hosting over one hundred unique food and produce tasting events this October, which will stimulate the Regional NSW visitor economy.

“Tourism in our region is a vital industry, bringing off-farm income for our rural communities, and encouraging our local chefs to promote the use of local produce in our restaurants and cafes to support our innovative local producers,” he said.
