Pullman Saigon Centre

Pullman Saigon Centre, strategically located in the central District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, is a new hotel which has its focus on design, comfort, technology and space.

It has 306 stunningly modern guestrooms, including 17 suites. It is the third Pullman in Vietnam and the brand's flagship property for South-east Asia.

It features a contemporary design, a wide range of modern technological facilities, four bars and restaurants and five meeting venues.

I had the good fortune to stay at Pullman Saigon Centre on my recent visit to Vietnam. Reception went smoothly by welcoming staff at the reception desk on the ground floor lobby, accessed by either of the entries on the two street frontages. It was then a quick ride up one of the lifts to my Deluxe room on the 21st floor.

All the guest room categories – Superior, Deluxe, Executive or Suite – have spectacular city views. through floor-to-ceiling windows.

My large modern room, like all the other guest rooms, features a very comfortable Pullman bed and memory foam pillows that provides for a restful sleep. The decor was striking, with modern light fittings and flower 3D wall art.

There are all the conveniences of home that a modern hotel should offer, including optimal acoustic isolation, blackout curtains, wide working desk, ergonomically designed rolling seats, air conditioning with individual remote, iron, and safe deposit box.

The guest room provides free in-room mineral water, minibar, and coffee/tea making facilities, and room service is available 24 hours a day.

Lounge area

All Pullman Saigon Centre guest rooms feature free high-speed Wi-Fi Internet. Optimal connectivity is provided through multi-function panels that can integrate the room’s entertainment system with guests’ own devices. The large TV is a multi-function TV capable of incorporating several entertainment and information services. The Personal Media NetworkTM application developed by Pullman in partnership with Quadriga offers a unified entertainment experience: after downloading and installing this application, guests can use their Smartphone to order room-service or start watching a VOD film on the room’s TV, then continue to watch it on their tablet in the bar and finish watching it on their Smartphone by the pool.

Bathroom area

The large modern bathroom has a wonderful walk-in rain shower, bathtub, toilet that arte separated by clear and frosted glass walls panels. A hair dryer, a good range of quality toiletries and multimedia remote control are provided in the bathroom.

Guests staying in executive rooms and suites on the 25th to 29th floor can enjoy additional facilities such as an espresso machine and a BOSE SoundDock II system. They can make use of the Executive Lounge on the 30th floor for VIP welcome, express check-in and check-out, free breakfast and drinks throughout the day, free use of the am meeting room & ballroom and evening cocktails.

Pullman Saigon Centre has a well-designed, distinctive range of around-the-clock food and beverage options for every moment of the day in a variety of environments.

Food Connexion Restaurant

Food Connexion Restaurant serves all-day dining with a variety of seating options available. It offers a sumptuous buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner and an international and locally-inspired a la carte menu. I was impressed with the breakfasts I had whilst staying at the Pullman Saigon Centre. There was a wide variety of Vietnamese and international food available and constantly refreshed in the various buffet food stations. Staff were on hand to cook your eggs, waffles and pancakes. There were healthy food options available in addition to traditional breakfast offerings. The friendly breakfast staff gladly refilled hot drinks as required at the table.

Food Connexion Restaurant

The “Open Kitchen” concept of the Food Connexion Restaurant allows diners to watch their meals being prepared and appreciate the chef’s expertise in action. Guests can accompany their meals with wines served by the glass and chosen with the assistance of a sommelier from a large selection of international vintages and local wines. There is also a children's play area in the restaurant.

The Cobalt Rooftop Restaurant is an urban loft on the top floor of the Pullman Saigon Centre. It offers both an indoor dining area and outdoor open-air terrace seating that offer a unique panoramic view of Saigon. The view is especially stunning at night looking down on the lit up streets, buildings and moving vehicles. It serves progressive tapas, as well as a menu featuring a delectable selection of dishes and cocktails and designer drinks. It is the highest rooftop bar in Ho Chi Minh City.

Swimming pools

Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s two bars. Urbane Lounge features an intimate, relaxing setting that is perfect for business meetings or for a little peace and quiet to wind down. The Pool Bar offers refreshments and snacks as well as delicious cocktails created by the hotel’s bartender.

Pullman Saigon Centre is ideally set up for meetings and events. It has a 700m2 pillarless main function room that allows a wide range of options for the organization of business events to be held. It is ideal for concerts, exhibitions, and weddings. There are also five natural daylight meeting rooms that can hold up to 120 guests and a Chill Out Space for innovative breaks and post-events. A dedicated IT Solutions Manager and an Event Manager provide a personalized service to ensure that every step of each event is completed perfectly.

Other facilities include a 24-hour Fit Lounge with a Jacuzzi and a sauna, The Spa, and an outdoor swimming pool with a separate kids’ pool.

Fit Lounge

Pullman Saigon Centre’s Fit and Spa Lounge allows guests to stay fit and feel good throughout their stay. There is a focus on physical exercise at the Fit Lounge, open 24/7, where guests can stay in shape with weight-lifting, cardio-training and floor exercises using latest-generation equipment.

There is a focus on regeneration and relaxation at the Spa Lounge. The Spa Lounge offers tailored wellness treatments for men and women. The treatments are designed to suit each moment of the day and are of varying durations in order to meet guests’ needs: a gentle wake-up at dawn, regeneration treatment during the day-time, indulgent pampering at tea-time and treatment that ensures sweet dreams in the evening.

The hotel invites every guest to enjoy a moment of relaxation and well-being at the sauna and jacuzzi, outdoor solarium, swimming pool and a children's pool. I enjoyed my time in the sauna, spa, and pool, which was refreshing to wade around in hot weather.

The newly built hotel (opened in 2014) is found in in the heart of District 1 near Ben Thanh Market, Main Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, and the Reunification Palace. It is an ideal hotel of the business or leisure traveler to stay in and enjoy.
