In celebration of United Nations World Tourism Day, travel group helloworld enlisted the help of Instagrammers located in over 60 countries to share a snapshot of their city through images for the first ever
#helloworldRELAY.
Canterbury was chosen to represent New Zealand, and influential social media photographer
Sean Scott was picked to capture the region, posting photos on Instagram every hour on the hour throughout the course of the day.
Starting in Mackenzie, the day ended at the
Christchurch Gondola with an Instameet, where keen instagrammers enjoyed a Q &A session with Sean (pictured).
On 17 October, Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism will be hosting their own Instameet event in Kaikoura, with some of Australia's most influential travel Instagrammers, including
Lauren Bath (pictured),
Jewelszee,
Jarrad Seng and
