Cairns Delegate Advantage Program boosts delegates

Conference organisers have praised the Cairns Delegate Advantage Program as a great marketing tool and delegate booster for their events.
Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) Director of Business and Tourism Events Rosie Douglas said the program involves more than 48 local businesses offering exclusive discounts and value-adds to conference delegates in Cairns, Port Douglas and Palm Cove.
“We have distributed more than 8000 Cairns Delegate Advantage Program brochures to conference delegates since the expanded version was launched at AIME 2015,” Ms Douglas said.
“It has been extremely well received by both domestic and international Professional Conference Organisers and meeting planners as a device to help them look after delegates.
“Just recently more than 650 delegates at the Prostate Cancer World Congress and nearly 1000 delegates at the International Society for Neurosurgery (ISN) 25th Meeting and Australian Neuroscience Society (ASN) 35th Meeting took advantage of the program to receive discounts on dining and tours during their stay in the Cairns region.”
Professional Conference Organiser Tracey Crosling from ICMS Pty Ltd said she would highly recommend the program to anyone hosting an event in the region after using it at the Prostate Cancer World Congress 2015, which took place in Cairns on 17-21 August.
“The Cairns Delegate Advantage Program was a great tool for delegates to understand what activities they could do in Cairns and the surrounding region,” she said.
“Many of our delegates chose to extend their stay and the program not only provides touring options, but a great selection of restaurants.
“In particular, the delegates found the compact map within the brochure a useful reference guide which fitted easily into their pocket or handbag.”
