The 2014 Australian Tourism Award winning Byron Beach Café took home the much sought after Gold award for Restaurants and Catering at the national awards earlier this month.
The Corner Restaurant in Port Macquarie did the same in 2013 and Bent on Food in Wingham in the Manning Valley led the North Coast victories taking home the Gold at the National Tourism Awards in 2009.
“Our food and beverage offerings are beating big city competitor's and have clearly positioned the North Coast NSW as a culinary leader in our state, “ said North Coast Destination Network Executive Officer, Ms Belinda Novicky.
“What a culinary journey these restaurants lead along The Legendary Pacific Coast road trip from Sydney to Brisbane. “
“All three are consistent finalists repeatedly achieving Gold, Silver or Bronze awards at our North Coast and NSW Tourism Awards for Excellence over recent years.
“Their consistency and the ever increasing quality and variety of produce available along The North Coast NSW is testament to our region's creativity and commitment to award winning dishes crafted from the best fresh local produce”
“We are very proud of the quality, innovation, style and commitment to supporting local farmers by a wide variety of talented chefs along The Legendary Pacific Coast.
