As part of the neighbourhood promotion, the South Bronx's Grand Concourse is highlighted in the documentary series NYCGO Insider Guides, featuring locals who recommend restaurants and attractions that make the neighbourhood distinctive.   • Arts: The Bronx Culture Trolley offers visitors a free trip in a trolley car replica along the South Bronx Culture Corridor on the first Wednesday of every month. Devoted entirely to the art of photojournalism, the Bronx Documentary Center host exhibits, events, screenings and classes. Admission is always free at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, a cultural institution specialising in contemporary and Bronx art. Learn about hip-hop in its birthplace during a Hush Hip Hop Tour. The Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour rides through Harlem and the Bronx, visiting some of the most important sites in hip-hop's history.
  • Restaurants: Visitors looking for authentic Caribbean dining will find Feeding Tree a laid-back and affordable neighbourhood establishment serving food with big flavors. For Southern-style cuisine, Sam's Soul Food offers a menu that includes smoked BBQ pork ribs, jerk chicken and seafood.
  • Yankee Culture: Yankee Stadium is an iconic city landmark and plays host to Major League Baseball games as well as year-round tours and an extensive baseball museum, Yankee Museum. Starting with the home opener this Monday, April 6, the Yankees will play more than 80 games at the stadium. Located at the site of the old Yankee Stadium, Heritage Field is a 10.8-acre ballpark where visitors can start their own ball games, watch local high schools compete and see artifacts from the original stadium. Baseball fans without tickets to the game can grab a drink and watch the action at the nearby Yankee Tavern, a beloved Bronx establishment known for its New York Yankees memorabilia and friendly staff. The newest Major League Soccer team, New York City FC, will play its remaining 15 home games at Yankee Stadium.

Visitors looking to experience the Bronx for longer than an afternoon can stay at the Opera House Hotel in the South Bronx. The historic Bronx Opera House, a storied entertainment venue dating back to 1913, has been restored to unveil this newly renovated hotel.
