The film marketing campaign was a great way to showcase the best of what Cairns had to offer tourists.
Whether it's the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest or Aboriginal rock art, visitors can find it in the Tropical North.
This tourism campaign is a creative way to get the word out about the incredible tourism experience available in Cairns.
Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) CEO Alex de Waal said delivering the best imaginable TNQ holiday experiences that encourage visitors to become prolific and proactive advocates, convincing others to follow in their footsteps, was the single most powerful form of destination marketing.
“The Paradise Through Your Lens campaign encourages everyday travellers to share their perspectives of Tropical North Queensland and it is a central component of TTNQ's advocacy strategy,” Mr de Waal said.
“The finalists visited the Savannah Way, Port Douglas, the Daintree and Cape Tribulation, Cairns, Palm Cove, Cooktown, Laura, Green Island, the Atherton Tablelands and Cassowary Coast.
“Visitor experiences profiled in the films include diving at secluded reefs, discovering native animals, exploring Aboriginal rock art sites and enjoying our tropical lifestyle.”
Flight Centre holiday deals would also feature on the campaign website from 15 April.
