The event drew the participation of more than 60 restaurants and hotels from over 20 countries and territories, offering visitors a chance to learn more about the culinary culture of countries around the world with plentiful and unique dishes displayed at nearly 100 booths.
With a wide range of activities such as a ‘Five-star Chef’ festival with the participation of 17 hotels, programmes to set new records on traditional Vietnamese pastry and sculptural works on world cultural heritage in Viet Nam, the festival attracted a large number of visitor, according to Deputy Director La Quoc Khanh of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Van Thi Bach Tuyet said the highlight of festival was the connection between cultural, sport and tourism activities such as muay Thai performances, traditional art performances.
The festival was supported by the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association and the enthusiastic participation of leading five-star hotels, along with restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event, held from December 4-7, contributed to preserving and promoting the culinary culture of Viet Nam and other countries in the world.
