The ATTA and Visit Baja California Sur have committed to raising the awareness of the adventure potential of the region, traditionally associated with luxury resorts. International outbound operators, specialized travel agents and international travel journalists will follow in the footsteps of Jesuit missionaries and Jacques Cousteau and see a side of Baja California few tourists experience.
This AdventureWeek will host up to 25 participants. A core component of the trip is a chance for buyers to meet with a group of local operators during two “Marketplace” sessions to foster an understanding of the market and begin partnership building.

The nine-day itinerary will feature a mix of activities related to history, nature and adventure. Participants will visit Loreto National Marine Park, monitor sea turtles at Puerto Chale, hike through the VizcaĆno Biosphere Reserve, tour colonial towns and Jesuit missions, sea kayak through mangroves looking for birds, watch for grey and blue whales in their winter home waters and see the 7,000-year-old cave paintings at Sierra de San Francisco (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
