The U.S. and Chinese governments have agreed to issue longer-term visas for tourism, business and education, making traveling to China for business and/or leisure easier.
The new policy would extend the length of tourist and business visas for each country’s citizens to 10 years, up from the current one-year limit.
Airlines including United Airlines and American Airlines have applauded the new agreement, citing it as an important step in opening up travel and tourism between the two countries.
The new visa extension, along with efforts to streamline the visa application process for Americans going to China, will result in easier travel to the destination.
