Visiting the beautiful and poetic city of Hue, visitors will have the opportunity to explore unique features of Hue royal culture in many different locations in the Complex of Hue Monuments.

Lying in Hoa Binh Gate, Imperial Citadel (Dang Thai Than Street, Hue City), Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion was built in 1923 on the foundation of Tu Thong Communal House (reign of King Gia Long from 1802 to 1820) to celebrate 40th birthday of King Khai Dinh (1916 - 1925). The pavilion was the place for kings and royal members to contemplate landscape and also for princes and princesses to study.
Located on the “theological axis” in northwest - southeast direction of Imperial Citadel, along with most important works such as Kien Trung Palace, Khon Thai Palace, Can Thanh Palace, Thai Hoa Palace and Ngo Mon Gate, Tu Phuong Vo Su is a rare work which faces north and along with Hoa Binh Gate (North gate of Imperial Citadel) to create a unique architectural complex that expresses aspiration for peace of Nguyen Dynasty. With harmonious Eastern – Western architectural features, Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion contains excellent historical, cultural and artistic values. This is one of the typical architectural works, marking a transition in the architectural history of Viet Nam in the first half of the 20th century.
Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion covers an area of 182m² and consists of two floors. On the second floor of the pavilion, visitors will have a panoramic view of architecture works of Imperial Citadel and observe the peaceful life of people of Hue Citadel.
Along with Tu Phuong Vo Su Pavilion, Long Quang Royal Boat in Nghinh Luong Dinh Pier (Le Duan Street, Hue City) is also a must-see performing space for visitors. Built according to the model of Te Thong Royal Boat under Nguyen Dynasty, the boat is 30m long, 6.5m wide, 5.4m high and can carry about 100 people. Head and tail of the boat are carved dragon shape, wood roof is painted yellow, doors are carved sophisticatedly. The interior of the boat is covered by silk curtain and floor is spread out brocade carpet.
Long Quang Boat is the place visitors can admire charming natural scenery, ancient historical relics and lives of Hue people on two banks of Perfume River. In particular, visitors will be served here royal dishes used at feasts “Royal Banquet” of Nguyen Kings.
Launching two new performing spaces contributes to diversifying tourism products in Complex of Hue Monuments, preserving and promoting Hue royal cultural values to domestic and foreign visitors.
