Backyard Travel have today released news of a new insiders tour exploring the Chinese mountainous province of Sichuan ,giving travelers the wonderful opportunity to meet some of China's iconic pandas.
Backyard Travel specialize in tours to Asia full of unique experiences and this insightful six-day, five-night tour also gives travellers the chance to discover the incredible culture, natural beauty and diverse cuisine of this part of southwest China.
Starting in Chengdu, Sichuan Province's capital, travellers will learn about the region's past through the impressive relics at the Sanxindui Archaeological Site, be guided around the beautiful Wenshu Buddhist Monastery and taste some of the delicious flavours in Sichuan cooking at a tasty local restaurant.
This fascinating tour's highlight is arguably the chance to meet China's most iconic animal, the Panda. Reached via a wonderful scenic walk, travellers will first learn how a research center is helping protect these endangered animals and then they will have the once in a life time opportunity to meet the incredible Pandas, assisting in the daily duties to care for the iconic animals.
Also on this fully-guided tour, the world's largest Buddha statue will be visited, standing at an astonishing 71 meters high and dramatically carved into a cliff. At Emei Shan, one of the four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, travellers will have the chance to explore the sublime scenery and beautiful temples before their tour ends with the opportunity to try the famous spicy Sichuan Hotpot.
