All their Airstreams have been factory modified and assembled to meet Australian compliance requirements including 240 volt wiring, Australian electrical switches, conversion for right-hand drive vehicle towing and towing hitch. Interior fit-outs include premium brand appliances, a selection of flexible floor plans, fabrics and colour schemes providing for individual taste. There are currently 3 models available for purchase in Australia: the Sport 579, the 624 and 762 International Series.
Airstream Adventures will officially launch at Luxperience 2014 and offers luxury rentals of the latest Airstream caravan's custom built for Australia, giving discerning travellers a unique, stylish and fun way to explore the country with access to exclusive campsites and bespoke itineraries. Established by travel writer, Kate Ayrton who also co-founded the US-based travel website wandermelon.com and runs Sparkle Media, a digital marketing services company for the hospitality and travel industry; Airstream Adventures is the result of another dream – one based on adventures on the open road. Instead of sending readers to all her favourite hotels, Kate got hooked on the idea of her own mobile hotel where guests could tow their own room and adapt her curated journeys for luxury road trips – or land yacht cruises – in her own backyard.
