The Legendary Pacific Coast is one of three finalists in the Specialty Press Events and Tourism Award alongside Canowindra Challenge Inc and the King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge at Willow Tree.
“It is a great compliment to be a finalist in these highly contested community awards,” said The Legendary Pacific Coast (TLPC) Chair, Ms Belinda Novicky
“TLPC is about encouraging visitors to divert from the Pacific Highway to explore, support and enjoy the people, places and character of each community along the route”.
“It’s also pleasing to note that there are a total of 10 North Coast finalists across all the major categories – testament to the community spirit of our region.”
Those finalists are:
- Central Coast Holiday Parks- Wyong Shire Council in The Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust Corporate Managers Award
- Bulahdelah War Memorial Reserve Trust and Tuggerah Lakes Reserve Trust in The Crown Lands Crown Reserve Trust Community Trust Award
- Our House, Lismore in The Prime Super Community of the Year Award (population over 15,000
- The Legendary Pacific Coast in The Specialty Press Events and Tourism Award
- Central Coast Group Training, Tuggerah in The University of Newcastle Business Achievement Award
- Australian Seabird Rescue, Ballina in The Peabody Environment and Landcare Award
- CHYFM Radio, Coffs Harbour and Saul Brady from Forster in The Fantastic Furniture Youth Leadership Award
- Brinae West, East Maitland and William O'Brien, Port Macquarie The Fantastic Furniture Indigenous Achievement Award
Prizes include a share in $40,000 thanks to the Commonwealth Bank and Television Advertising on PRIME7. Each winner will also receive a magnificent trophy.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner Presentation on Saturday 26 October held at the Newcastle Leagues Club.
