ABTA announced the location today of the 2014 Travel Convention. ABTA revealed that the Slovenian capital Ljubljana will host the event on 22-24 September 2014, following this year’s event in Dubrovnik.
This will be the first time that The Travel Convention has visited Slovenia which shares a border with this year’s Convention host, Croatia. Slovenia is a compact but extremely diverse country, with stunning, unspoilt countryside and a spectacular coastline. The capital, Ljubljana is a picture box pretty city and one of Slovenia’s most beautiful areas, Lake Bled is only a short 55km drive from the city,
Noel Josephides ABTA Chairman said: “I am very happy to be able to announce that the Slovenian Tourist Board has agreed to host the 2014 Travel Convention. Slovenia is a beautiful, diverse country and I am looking forward to meeting with delegates in the capital Ljubljana in eleven months time.”
Tine Murn of the Slovenian Tourist Board said: “Slovenia and Ljubljana are delighted to welcome The Travel Convention in 2014. Slovenia is a beautiful country and we see this as an ideal opportunity to increase the number of UK visitors to our country and to develop closer ties with the British travel industry.”
