“Bubbles” Arrives in Port Douglas

Tropical Journeys are excited to announce the arrival of their new Outer Reef vessel “Bubbles” to the Calypso Reef Cruises fleet. Graham and Cathie Jones are known for regularly updating their boats with Bubbles being the eighth built under the Calypso name.

Monday was Calypso Bubbles’ first day exploring the Outer Great Barrier Reef. Currently carrying 65 guests to Opal Reef, many more people will have the opportunity to experience this natural wonder.

“Bubbles” is 20 metres long, just slightly smaller than Calypso Snorkel and Dive with a spacious air conditioned saloon, an upper and lower foredeck with day lounge seating and a shaded upper deck where guests can relax during their cruise.

Like her sisters, her large back deck has a submerged swim platform, giving guests easy access in and out of the water.

“Bubbles” is fitted with fuel efficient engines, the latest navigation and safety equipment and we are very proud to add her to our Advanced Eco Certified fleet of boats.
