Having evolved in early 2013 into a fully digital magazine, Backpacker Essentials is now a bi-monthly, 46-page online magazine and interactive iPad app. The iPad app is available free on the Apple AppStore and iTunes, and the online version is broadcast electronically to YHA members in Australia and New Zealand.
The magazine includes inspirational articles, travel news, deals and competitions. It is also packed with information on the range of quality, budget places for readers to stay in the YHA network, in both Australia and New Zealand. From the street cred festivals and events of Adelaide, to the adrenalin rush of activities in Franz Josef, Backpacker Essentials covers it all.
