ITB Asia 2025 Breaks Records with Five Halls and Unmatched Global Participation

ITB Asia 2025 – Opening Ceremony
Singapore Hosted the Largest Edition Yet of Asia’s Leading Travel Trade Show

A Landmark Year for Asia’s Premier Travel Event

ITB Asia 2025, held from 15 to 17 October at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, marked a milestone in the event’s 18-year history. Organised by Messe Berlin (Asia Pacific), the B2B travel trade show reached new heights, expanding to five exhibition halls across two levels and welcoming a record number of attendees, exhibitors, and buyers.

This year's show drew over 1,500 top-tier buyers, reflecting a 7% increase from 2024, and featured the most diverse regional participation to date. The expanded footprint and robust industry engagement solidified ITB Asia’s reputation as the definitive hub for Asia-Pacific’s travel industry and a leading global meeting point for tourism professionals.

Diverse Global Participation Reached New Highs

The 2025 edition stood out for its regional diversity. Participation surged from Central Asia, and Africa recorded its largest-ever presence at the show. Indian states also made a strong appearance, while the expanded Singapore Zone showcased the host nation’s growing ecosystem of tourism offerings.

New exhibitors such as the City of Monreale (Sicily, Italy), Lithuania Travel, Visit Hungary, Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the Kaohsiung City Government, and Visit Alatau joined the lineup, broadening the global narrative on travel innovation and cultural experiences.

For the first time, ITB Asia 2025 introduced the Experience & Attractions Highlight Zone, a dedicated area designed to spotlight the rise of immersive travel experiences. Major global brands including Resorts World Sentosa, Disney Cruise Line, AMA Waterways, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Universal Destinations & Experiences, and Merlin Entertainments Group showcased their latest offerings.

This vibrant zone delivered dynamic showcases, hands-on interactions, and live cultural presentations, allowing industry professionals to experience firsthand the new frontiers of themed travel and attraction-based tourism. The addition of this feature reflected the growing demand for experiential travel and the importance of storytelling and interactivity in modern tourism.

A Grand Opening with Cultural Flair

The event officially opened with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting led by Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of National Development, Singapore. The ceremony, punctuated by a lively lion dance performance, set a festive and optimistic tone for the three-day event.

ITB Asia 2025 also featured over 100 conference sessions across three dedicated theatres, where industry leaders from sectors including MICE, leisure, corporate travel, and travel tech shared insights, forecasts, and strategies shaping the future of tourism.

A Message of Growth and Resilience

David Ruetz, Senior Vice President at Messe Berlin, reflected on the show’s success, stating: “ITB Asia continues to grow from strength to strength, reflecting both the dynamism of the global travel industry and the increasing importance of the Asia-Pacific region. With record participation, expanded exhibition space, and an ever more diverse representation of destinations and buyers, we are proud to provide a platform where industry leaders can connect, share insights, and drive the future of travel forward.”

Looking Ahead to ITB Asia 2026

With its largest-ever edition concluded, ITB Asia reaffirmed its status as Asia’s top B2B travel trade show and an innovation hub for the global travel industry. The momentum from 2025 sets the stage for an even more ambitious show in 2026, when new pavilions and strategic partnerships will further elevate the event’s reach and impact.
