A Vision for Thailand’s Culinary Tourism:
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with The MICHELIN Guide, continues to strengthen Thailand’s position as a global gastronomic hub. TAT Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool highlighted how the Guide’s expansion supports the ‘Must Seek New Cities’ concept, encouraging travellers to explore the diverse regional experiences of Thailand’s culinary offerings.
Thailand’s Growing Culinary Recognition:
The 2025 edition is a significant step in the country’s growing culinary reputation, as it acknowledges not just the fine dining establishments in cities like Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, but also regional gems in Chon Buri, Isan, and Surat Thani, helping to raise awareness of Thailand's full gastronomic potential.
Aiming for Record Tourism:
In 2025, TAT is targeting a 7.5% increase in tourism revenue, aiming for 39 million international visitors. The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 plays a pivotal role in attracting food lovers from all over the world to experience Thailand’s rich culinary culture.
Other Notable Achievements:
In addition to the gastronomic accolades, TAT celebrated the inaugural MICHELIN Keys Thailand awards in September, recognizing 58 hotels for their exceptional service and quality. This further cements Thailand’s commitment to delivering world-class hospitality alongside its gastronomic excellence.
