With an emphasis on creating a serene atmosphere, the interior of my room was adorned with subtle Thai influences and modern amenities, promising an indulgent retreat from the bustling city life. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered me panoramic views, allowing me to gaze out over the pool to the tranquil Chao Phraya River adding an element of grandeur to my stay.

My room, like all the others, was equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience. From the opulent bedding to the high-speed Wi-Fi and sophisticated entertainment systems, every aspect has been considered to elevate my Salil Hotel Riverside.

My kitchen had everything I could wish for - sink, hot plates, microwave, full size fridge, jug, coffee machine and even a washing machine. My Bathroom was equally lavish, featuring premium toiletries and elegant fixtures, creating a private spa-like environment for unwinding after a day of exploration. I enjoyed my bubble bath in the large bathtub each day.

Each morning I enjoyed my breakfast in the Nava Kitchen where I was impressed by the large variety of food options available and the attentive service of the staff. The egg station was a hit with me as it offered a variety of egg dishes to choose form that were freshly cooked for me. They even had a selection of ice cream to eat. 

I was fortunate to have an evening meal there, where I noticed the chefs at Salil Hotel Riverside take pride in sourcing the freshest local ingredients to create dishes that are not only a feast for the eyes but also a delight to the taste buds. I enjoyed several dishes, such as a Thai curries that tantalised my senses and sophisticated Western dishes that comforted my soul. After eating all the main dishes I enjoyed my dessert of fried banana and coconut ice cream. The extensive menu on offer is designed to cater to an array of dietary preferences and culinary desires.

For those seeking a truly unique dining experience, the hotel offers exclusive private dining options. Surrounded by lush greenery and with a view of the river, the pool area is a tranquil oasis, just perfect for my leisurely swims or basking in the sun with a refreshing drink in hand. It has a whirlpool and children's swim area. 

Moreover, the convenience of my hotel stay was prioritised through the provision of comprehensive services including complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring that I stayed connected during my visit. 

Even though I came by public transport, I noticed that if I drove, there is free parking and valet parking that offers an additional touch of luxury. Concierge services were always at hand to assist with any of my requests. From booking tours around Bangkok's famed sites to making reservations at exclusive restaurants, the concierge team is dedicated to enriching guests stays.

I enjoyed my massage at the HARNN Heritage Spa Riverside during my stay. I was welcomed with a refreshing drink and face flannel and asked which scented massage essential oil I preferred then escorted to the tranquil massage room. The massage lady was very skilled in her massage techniques and I felt totally relaxed through the whole experience. The pressure applied was just right, not too soft or to hard. My massage was unparalleled relaxation for my tired body and I came away feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

The Rabbit Moon Aquatherapy pool

I also enjoyed my experience at The Rabbit Moon Aquatherapy pool. This is Bangkok's first-ever rooftop aqua therapy pool. Here I enjoyed my water-based spa experience featuring 9 hydromassage stations comprising no less than 50 individual jet streams producing microbubbles and geysers for massaging joints and muscles. I completed several circuits of the 9 hydromassage station and enjoyed all the different sensations of water on my body, 

Exploring Bangkok from Salil Hotel Riverside

Embarking from the serene confines of Salil Hotel Riverside, I found myself perfectly poised to dive into the cultural heartbeat of Bangkok. The hotel's prime riverside location is not only a gateway to tranquil views but also serves as a launching pad for adventures into the city's dynamic tapestry of life. 

A mere stone's throw away is the illustrious Chao Phraya River. Each day I took advantage of the free round-trip boat shuttle service to and from Saphan Taksin. Here I either hopped on the BTS train or boarded leisurely boat rides along the river that provided a unique vantage point of Bangkok. The views unveiled the city's historical grandeur and contemporary vibrancy from the water. Venturing further afield, I discovered the splendour of the Grand Palace, a testament to Thailand's rich royal heritage, and wandered through the bustling alleyways of local markets where the air is thick with the aroma of street food and the clamour of daily commerce. 

Asiatique The Riverfront

The hotel's advantageous locale ensures that the ornate temples that Bangkok is renowned for, each telling its own story of faith and tradition, are easily accessible. For those keen on a deeper exploration, the vibrant street art and burgeoning café culture offer a glimpse into the modern expressions of Thai society.

Just down the river I visited Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok’s first large-scale riverside project combining shopping, dining, sightseeing, entertainment activities and events under one roof. I caught the river ferry to ICONSIAM, the sensational riverside mixed-use shopping destination where the best of Thailand’s retail, entertainment, hospitality come together. I went to River City, where I explored the many arts and antiques on display.
