Step into the realm of architectural brilliance at Kintaikyo Bridge, a magnificent five-arch wooden bridge and a cherished symbol of Iwakuni in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Originally constructed in 1673 without using any nails, the bridge was rebuilt to its former beauty in 1953 and continues to intrigue visitors today.

Travel Tip: You can admire the fascinating wooden framework from underneath the bridge during low tide and see it brilliantly illuminated at night.
