The award is divided into many categories, of which two main categories are the Top Twenty Five Airlines in the World for 2023 and Top Twenty-Five Low-Cost Airlines for 2023. Both categories have representatives of Vietnam's airlines.
Heading the list are; Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Virgin Australia / Virgin Atlantic, EVA Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa / Swiss, SAS, TAP Portugal, All Nippon Airways, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, British Airways, Jet Blue, JAL, Vietnam Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Hawaiian, KLM, Alaska Airlines and United Airlines.
According to the evaluation criteria, to be named in the top twenty five, airlines must achieve a seven-star safety rating and demonstrate leadership in innovation for passenger comfort. Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas of AirlineRaitings.com stated that for candidates of the Airline Excellence Awards, leadership and airlines that innovate to make a real difference to the passenger experience are two main factors to be rated. Over 360 of the airlines on the site that carry 99 per cent of the world’s passengers have a product rating.
Regarding the Top Twenty-Five Low-Cost Airlines for 2023, Vietjet has bagged 2 awards: Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline and Best Low-Cost Airline Onboard Hospitality which recognizes the amazing value of its onboard offering.
The airlines in alphabetical order are AirAsia*, Allegiant, Bonza, Cebu Pacific, EasyJet, Eurowings, Flair, FlyDubai, Frontier, GOL, Indigo, Jet2, JetBlue, Jetstar, Norse Atlantic, Peach, Ryanair, Scoot, Spirit, Southwest, Transavia, TUI, Vietjet, Vueling, Wizz Air.
Each low-cost airline to be awarded has achieved their good safety record and made a big difference in their respective markets, said Airlineratings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas. To identify the top twenty-five low-cost airlines for 2023 from the almost 365 airlines it rates.
