Mt Hakusan offers majestic views of both land and sea

Nestled between the Sea of Japan and the mountainous regions surrounding Mt Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture offers majestic views of both land and sea.

Make sure to visit the Higashi Chaya District, a historical geisha district located in the Higashiyama area of Kanazawa. Admire the well-preserved traditional wooden chaya (tea houses) on a stroll, with many of them now functioning as cafes, restaurants and shops.

Also, why not try gold leaf painting for a hands-on experience while you’re there?

For a breathtaking sunset, head to the Shiroyone Senmaida Rice Terraces. The contrast between the rice paddies and sea draws photographers worldwide to capture this picturesque view.

Don’t miss out on a relaxing soak in the quaint hot spring town of Yamashiro Onsen, located at the foot of Mt Hakusan.
