AsiaSpa Unveils Its New Website and Welcomes Nominations for Asiaspa Awards 2020

Six months after taking over the operations of AsiaSpa, Two2 Ltd. has unveiled a new website for the leading wellness and travel platform as part of the first complete relaunch since the brand was established in 2003. It also announced the return of the AsiaSpa Awards, with a number of new categories as well as a revitalised judging panel of spa, wellness and travel experts in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

“With health and wellness becoming more relevant than ever, we are excited to revive and enhance such an established and well-respected title,” said publishers Grace Chien and Loup Thomazo. “The new AsiaSpa offers an up-to-date, interactive platform for our partners in the wellness and travel industry to engage with the region's affluent audience.”

Upgrades to AsiaSpa.com include a modern, mobile-responsive design and streamlined user experience focusing on the key content pillars of Spas, Travel, Wellness and Beauty. For the first time since its launch in 2012, the site will be updated daily with online-exclusive stories and videos that complement the print magazine. A dedicated section for industry news, Trade Talk, will also provide the latest information on major events and key players.

The popular online Spa Locator—the go-to destination for spa and wellness travel listings—has also been completely redesigned, with an easy-to-use search function, enhanced map applications and dedicated pages for AsiaSpa partners featuring image galleries, treatment menus and more.

The relaunch issue of the print magazine, September/October 2020, is the first in AsiaSpa history with a significant change to its design and layout, featuring a modern new size and elegant new look as well as an updated content mix and a shift to more sophisticated and high-quality imagery.

“AsiaSpa is already such a well-known and well-loved title, and we really wanted to build on that legacy while embracing the expectations of today's readers,” said editor-in-chief Tama Miyake Lung. “AsiaSpa has come to represent so much more than spas; it's about how to achieve complete well-being and we aim to deliver information and inspiration that touches on everything from wellness travel and new beauty launches to alternative healing therapies and sustainable style. The new design, by our talented creative director Gigi Lee, reflects this more sophisticated and well-rounded approach.”

With a total of 30 categories, this year's AsiaSpa Awards are the most comprehensive and accessible since their creation in 2005. They include the addition of new categories for fitness, meditation and sustainability as well as individual and community honours that include the first ever Lifetime Achievement Award. This year's judging panel has also been completely refreshed and revitalised, with a number of new and influential experts from across the spa, wellness and travel industries in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Nominations are open now on AsiaSpa.com, with a deadline of October 26, 2020. Shortlisted candidates will be announced in November, and winners will be announced during a virtual awards ceremony in December.
