Drakos DMC Cyprus, are proud to announce the opening of the Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Limassol this month.
The Hotel
Surrounded by 100,000 sqm (25 acres) of landscaped gardens, the resort welcomes guests with a picturesque lane that snakes through a verdant grove of evergreen olive, citrus and palm trees - setting the mood for the serene experience that awaits. Three outdoor and one indoor swimming pool (one filled with seawater and one for adults only) glisten in front of the main building, surrounded by cabanas, waterbeds and lounge areas for outdoor dining and drinks. The perfect seaside gateway is completed with a special all-day facility for children, a luxurious spa area, a vast ballroom, conference facilities, five restaurants, two bars and a 300-meter-long sandy beach.
Meeting Facilities
The property has 11 meeting rooms, including The Diamond Ballroom a pillar-free multifunction room at 800sqm with a theatrical stage with the latest state of the art audio-visual equipment on the island.
With its warmth and classic design, the Diamond Ballroom is the most majestic, prestigious and architecturally significant space inside the Parklane resort. It is the largest of all the other interior event venues with an audience capacity of up to 1200 persons and can be divided into two sections and cater for up to 600 persons for dinner on round tables, with room to dance. Suitable for both social and business events, the ballroom is fully equipped and furnished—ready to cater product launches, conferences, fashion shows, and other functions. The adjacent Pine Room can be used for setting up gourmet buffet lunches and dinners.
Rooms
The property has over 220 rooms and 50 suites while the rooms in the main building will be some of the largest in Cyprus. The Superior guestrooms will have either a view of the resort or the Mediterranean sea.
Design & Philosophy
An alabaster vessel used in ancient times to store precious fragrances now appears on the Parklane’s logo, its body graced with an elegant star shape borrowed from local embroidery traditions that date back to the Venetian Renaissance.
Named after the villages where they come from, the Lefkaritika embroidered lace have been produced in Cyprus for centuries, as far back as the 16th when Leonardo da Vinci himself bought an embroidered tablecloth, which still adorns a chapel inside the Duomo in Milan.
The ancient vessel and the hand-woven star combined, produce a symbol that captures the essence of local history, superior artistry and exclusive luxury in one, eloquent form.
