The harvest festival of India, Baisakhi marks the beginning of the Sikh New Year and signifies the harvest of love, happiness, joy and prosperity. Celebrations are marked with family get-togethers, home-made Punjabi delicacies, and the famous folk-dances of Bhangra and Gidda.
