Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of THE ART OF THE BRICK: DC COMICS exhibition, opening exclusively at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum next month.
The exhibition, supported in Australia by the NSW Government through Destination NSW, brings together renowned New York-based artist Nathan Sawaya, Warner Bros., Consumer Products and DC Entertainment to create the world’s largest collection of DC Comics-inspired LEGO® artwork, all created from hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks.
Contemporary sculptures on display will include the most enduring super heroes and super-villains: from Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, to The Joker and Harley Quinn. A brand-new, life-size, Batmobile design, built entirely out of LEGO bricks, will also be in Sydney alongside more than 100 other works of art by Sawaya.
Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) Director, Rose Hiscock said the exhibition will attract visitors from across Australia to the Museum.
The exhibition will be open to the public at Powerhouse Museum in Sydney from 21 November 2015 to 1 May 2016.
Tickets are now on sale through Ticketek.
