BYRON BAY WINS BIG AT TOURISM AWARDS

The home crowd in Byron Bay had lots to celebrate at The 2015 North Coast Tourism Awards last weekend with the town leading the Gold Award tally.

Byron Bay tourism operators led the pack taking home five, first place, Gold Awards closely contested by Coffs Coast with four Gold and Greater Port Macquarie with the same.

The Manning Valley, ably represented by multi award winning Bent on Food took home two Gold awards in the coveted food and restaurant categories while the Great Lakes led with Gold for Caravans and Holiday Parks, Lismore’s Wollongbar TAFE won the Gold in the Education category and Visit NSW’s State Forests took the Gold for Destination Marketing.

The sold out 2015 North Coast Tourism Awards were held at The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa and hosted by television personality, Shelley Craft of “The Block” television fame.
