Three New Sustainable Element-Brand Hotels Opening throughout China

Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced this month three new Element hotels set to open in Greater China within the next four years, highlighting the popularity of China as a destination and the growing interest in eco-conscious accommodations options there.

The recently opened Element Suzhou Science and Technology Town in Suzhou, China was the first Element hotel to debut in China, bringing a value-conscious, eco-friendly property with both business- and leisure-focused amenities to the growing Suzhou.

It was voted the “Most Anticipated Green Hotel of China” in 2015, and opened earlier this summer in its prime location near national parks, canals, bridges, classical gardens, and tech-driven industries.

The three other Element Hotels set to open in Greater China by 2019 will be: Element Chongli, situated in Zhangjiakou, co-host city for the 2022 Winter Olympics; Element Sanya Haitang Bay, a nature-inspired beach-view property; and Element Tianjin Beichen, overlooking the Hai River.
