Thang Long water puppet theatre will perform at the Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival held in Malaysia from September 17 to 21.
Vietnamese artists led by Chu Luong, vice director of Thang Long water puppet theatre will play two shows depicting the daily activities in rural Viet Nam as well as important historical events and ancient legends.
The shows will be on September 19 at Kuash Theatre in Kuala Lumpur.
This is an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese water puppetry, a unique art filled with Vietnamese culture characters, to the international art world and the festival also gives Vietnamese artists a chance to learn more about Malaysia.
The Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival is one of the biggest arts and cultures festivals in Southeast Asia and attracts performers from many countries in the region, including dance, music, comedy and traditional arts performances.
