Picasso Exhibition in Sydney

There are many people who do not know much about art, but have heard of the famous artist Picasso. This year the biggest exhibition of Picasso artworks is coming to Australia.

The Picasso Exhibition will feature over 150 important paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings created by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973).  The exhibition is drawn from the permanent collection of the Musée National Picasso, Paris, which is the largest and most significant renowned repository of the artist's works in the world. The exhibition will capture every phase of his extraordinary career, including masterpieces from his Blue, Rose, Expressionist, Cubist, Neoclassical and Surrealist periods.

This most significant Picasso exhibition ever held in Australia is part of the Sydney International Arts Series, and will be on display at the Art Gallery of NSW. in  Sydney. The Picasso Exhibition will open on 12 November and end on 25 February.

Included in the exhibition ticket price is a film viewing of La Visite featuring Picasso at work in his studio. An edited segment of the film will screen in a specially constructed theatre.
