Vietnam plans tourism revival

The Vietnamese Government just announced on May 26 that 80 countries will be granted e-visas from July 1, positioning Vietnam as one of the first countries to reopen its borders to foreign nationals following the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a tour company, we are very delighted to announce that Vietnam will welcome tourists again from a selected list of countries (see below) starting on July 1. While countries around the world are beginning to ease lockdown rules and thinking about tourism revival, Vietnam is clearly a few steps ahead and showing the path.

In views of its location, Vietnam is the closest country to the epicentre of the pandemic, Wuhan. With 94 million inhabitants and daily exchanges and flights with China, heavy repercussions were expected. But it was not so. The government and the population took the threat seriously and put in place all the necessary measures since the very early stages. It may have looked extreme for some but the results speak for themselves today: 326 cases in total on May 26, only 55 active cases all imported with the repatriation of Vietnamese citizens from different countries, no death and no new coronavirus case caused by community transmission.

Tourism is part of the sectors that are hit the hardest, Trusted DMC – Mr Linh’s Adventures is no exception and also suffered from several weeks of inactivity. In May, with the ease of social distancing measures, the focus was put on the domestic market, which was a relief as business came back.

This free time also pushed us into being more active in raising awareness on environmental issues. In a couple of weeks, we organise a garbage collection operation in our favourite destination: Ba Be National Park.

We look forward to seeing our country full of curious and avid travellers again, sharing our history and culture is our passion, we have missed you all very much!

Now as citizens of a safe country almost clear of the virus, we beg foreign visitors to be indulgent and follow our health safety rules: social distancing, wash hands with soap, keep hand sanitizer solution close by and wear a mask. If everyone works together, we promise you an outstanding experience in Vietnam. Contact us and start planning your trip!
