A Spacious Chatswood Retreat: My Stay at Silkari Suites Offers Comfort, Convenience and a Touch of Luxury

A visit to Sydney’s North Shore offers plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining, entertainment and exploring, and finding accommodation that provides the comforts of home can make all the difference. During my recent visit to Sydney, I enjoyed a stay at Silkari Suites at Chatswood, where spacious apartment-style accommodation, excellent facilities and a convenient central location combined to make my stay particularly enjoyable.

Situated in the heart of Chatswood CBD, Silkari Suites provides a welcoming base for leisure and business travellers seeking more than just a conventional hotel room. My accommodation was a huge Executive One Bedroom Apartment, offering generous living space, modern conveniences and everything needed for a comfortable stay.

One of the outstanding features of my stay was the size and layout of my Executive One Bedroom Apartment. Rather than being confined to a standard hotel room, I enjoyed a spacious apartment with clearly defined areas for sleeping, relaxing, dining and working.

The separate bedroom featured a comfortable king-size bed, with its own television, providing a peaceful retreat after a busy day exploring Sydney.

The expansive living and dining area offered plenty of room to relax, with another television, comfortable furnishings and space to enjoy a meal or simply put my feet up. 

The separate study was particularly useful during my stay, providing a dedicated space to work on my travel articles and keep up with communications. Complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the apartment made it easy to stay connected to the internet, work online and attend to my publishing commitments while away from home.

The fully equipped kitchen included an oven, microwave, dishwasher and everything needed for preparing meals, together with a coffee machine for enjoying a freshly made coffee whenever desired.

Other convenient facilities included a combined washer and dryer, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

For longer stays, business travellers or visitors who appreciate having additional room, the Executive One Bedroom Apartment offers an excellent alternative to traditional hotel accommodation.

A particularly enjoyable addition to my stay was the complimentary barista-made coffee and banana bread served in reception each morning.  

It was a lovely way to start the day, providing an opportunity to enjoy a freshly prepared coffee and a slice of banana bread before heading out to explore Chatswood or attend appointments in Sydney.

These thoughtful complimentary touches add to the overall guest experience and make the hotel feel welcoming.

Relaxing with Complimentary In-House Movies

After a busy day, I appreciated being able to relax in the apartment and enjoy the complimentary in-house movie service.

The apartment featured two smart televisions, one in the bedroom and another in the living area. I enjoyed watching a New Zealand-made movie that had only just been released in cinemas in August this year, making for an enjoyable and relaxing evening without having to leave the comfort of my accommodation.

Having complimentary in-house entertainment available is another appealing feature, particularly for guests spending several nights at the property.

24-Hour Gym Access at Anytime Fitness

Although I did not make use of the gym facilities during this particular Sydney visit, I noted that guests are provided with complimentary 24-hour access to Anytime Fitness Chatswood, located approximately five minutes from the hotel.

This is a valuable inclusion for travellers who like to maintain their regular exercise routines while away from home. The ability to work out at any time of the day or night provides flexibility for both business and leisure guests.

Complimentary Transfers for Corporate Travellers

Another useful facility is the complimentary morning and evening transfer service offered to corporate guests travelling to the Delhi Road and Lane Cove Business Parks.

Across the road is Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre, which has undergone an extensive redevelopment, with the final stage, featuring its new luxury retail precinct, opening in April 2026. Westfield Chatswood is also within easy walking distance. Both shopping centres offer an extensive range of retail stores, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and other services.

Chatswood is particularly appealing because it combines the convenience of a major commercial centre with attractive open spaces, green areas, restaurants and cafés.

Public transport is also readily accessible, with Chatswood railway and metro station and the bus interchange only a short walk away. Sydney CBD is approximately 15 minutes away by train or metro, making the location suitable for visitors wanting to explore the wider city.

For international and interstate visitors, the convenient public transport connections also make travelling to and from Sydney Airport relatively straightforward.

My recent stay at Silkari Suites at Chatswood was an enjoyable experience, particularly because of the generous apartment space and the range of complimentary inclusions.

The Executive One Bedroom Apartment provided considerably more room than a conventional hotel room, while the fully equipped kitchen, separate study, laundry facilities and two televisions made it feel like a home away from home.

The complimentary morning barista coffee and banana bread, in-house movies and unlimited Wi-Fi were additional touches that enhanced my stay.

Whether visiting Sydney for business meetings, theatre performances, shopping, entertainment or a longer holiday, Silkari Suites offers a convenient and comfortable accommodation option in one of Sydney's most vibrant metropolitan centres.
