Organised by the Malta Tourism Authority and supported by Turkish Airlines, the event brought together content creators from 17 countries, further strengthening Malta’s position as an inspiring cultural and creative destination. This year’s summit, designed “for influencers, by influencers”, opened at ME Malta by Meliá Hotels, featuring panel discussions, keynote talks and networking sessions focusing on the evolving landscape of digital content creation
The central theme centred around the impact of Artificial Intelligence on content creation and how it will shape the future for social media creators. The conference also explored personal branding, narrative strategies in the age of algorithms, and the digital nomad lifestyle.
Highlighting Malta’s natural stage for creativity, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority, Carlo Micallef, noted:
“Malta has always been a place of storytelling, through its history, its people and its landscapes. Hosting this event was a natural fit for us .”
Murat Özbilgi, founder of Mundo Ventures and the summit’s main collaborator with VisitMalta, added that the intention was to “create a space where influencers could connect, collaborate and grow in a way that feels genuine, not transactional.”
Following the conference, influencers explored some of Malta’s most iconic cultural and natural attractions, including Valletta, Mdina, Birgu and the Blue Grotto. These experiences were captured and shared through their own creative styles, generating over 1,000 pieces of content across all major social media platforms. This content continues to pave the way for Malta to gain greater visibility in international markets.
The event concluded with the Influencer Content Challenge, where participants recreated scenes from films shot in Malta such as Gladiator, Troy, Game of Thrones, Jurassic World and Popeye, followed by an award ceremony at the Malta Maritime Museum featuring Heritage Malta’s “Taste History” dinner experience.
