A Global Showcase of Tourism Innovation
ITB Asia 2025, held from 15 to 17 October at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, delivered its most globally diverse edition to date. The exhibition floor saw a record number of tourism organisations and convention bureaus from every corner of the world. From a larger African presence to new exhibitors from Central Asia and South Asia, the event reflected the rapid evolution of the global travel industry.The 2025 edition welcomed over 96 tourism organisations and convention bureaus, representing an impressive surge in participation from both emerging and established markets. European representation led the growth with a 67% increase over 2024, followed by Central Asia and Africa, which both recorded more than 50% growth. South Asia’s participation rose by 38%, showcasing the region's expanding influence on global travel trends.
A Truly Global Line-Up of Destinations
Tourism boards and convention bureaus from around the world presented their latest initiatives, products, and partnerships. Notable participants included Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Visit Hungary, Lithuania Travel, Government of Tamil Nadu, Visit Alatau, Phuket Tourist Association, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Visit Finland, Visit Norway, Zagreb Tourist Board, and Visit Greater Palm Springs. This rich mix of exhibitors highlighted the increasing importance of cross-border collaboration, cultural storytelling, and market-specific innovation.The expanded Singapore Zone also captured attention with a comprehensive showcase of regional tourism growth, while Indian state tourism boards made their strongest showing yet, underlining India's growing outbound and inbound travel opportunities.

The conference's theme, “Future Forward: Transforming Travel & Tourism in a Changing World”, focused on resilience, innovation, and adaptability — essential components for navigating the future of travel in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Keynotes that Set the Tone
Michael Shoory, Head of APAC Tourism Analysis at Tourism Economics, opened the conference with a keynote titled “What Does the Future Hold for Travel in APAC?”. His session explored projected growth, shifting source markets, and new demand patterns that will drive tourism recovery and development.He was followed by Nick Lim, CEO (Asia) of The Travel Corporation, who addressed sustainability and community-based tourism in his keynote “Charting a New Course for Travel Experiences.” He urged the industry to shift from volume-based tourism to experience-driven, regenerative models that promote long-term value.
