Fire Pit Cinema: A Winter Movie Night Like No Other

For the first time in Australia, Christmas in July will feature the Fire Pit Cinema, a ten-night only event running from Friday 11 July to Sunday 20 July 2025. Set against the historic backdrop of Cadmans Cottage, guests can cosy up under the stars with private fire pits, fluffy blankets, mulled wine, and classic Christmas movies.

Whether you're watching Love Actually on a romantic date or Home Alone with the family, this outdoor cinema experience is warm, nostalgic and packed with festive cheer. Every booking includes access to a reserved fire pit, marshmallows to roast, cinema access, and all the essentials for the perfect winter's night out.

The Rocks Transforms into a European-Style Winter Wonderland

Beyond the screen, The Rocks will once again transform into a bustling French-European winter village, complete with over 80 real Christmas trees, falling snow in Snow Lane, twinkling fairy lights, and rows of charming wooden chalets.

From artisan gifts to seasonal treats, the Christmas in July market captures the spirit of a traditional European Christmas—just without the jet lag.

Indulge in Festive Flavours

Food lovers will be in for a treat, with more than 20 pop-up eateries dishing up hearty winter classics. Expect gooey raclette, warm Choucroute, sizzling bratwursts, schnitzels, lobster rolls and sugar-sprinkled crêpes. Wash it all down with mulled wine or a steaming mug from the hot chocolate stations scattered throughout the festival.

It’s a feast for the senses, designed to transport you straight to the snowy squares of Europe.
