Celebrating the Spirit of Travel: “Mueang Na Tiew” Campaign Sparks a Green Season Revival

“Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration”
Twelve Themes, Fifty-Five Cities, One Unforgettable Season

Thailand is turning the 2025 Green Season into a nationwide celebration with the launch of “Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration”, a vibrant new domestic tourism campaign spearheaded by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Running from June through September, the initiative introduces 12 themed travel experiences across 55 secondary cities to inspire exploration, distribute tourism income, and spotlight lesser-known gems.

The campaign is designed to align with the broader Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, placing domestic travel at the heart of Thailand’s inclusive, community-driven tourism strategy.

Travelling with Purpose: New Lifestyles, New Destinations

With Thai travel habits evolving, “Mueang Na Tiew” reflects a shift toward personalised, experience-rich journeys. Whether you're a digital nomad, solo adventurer, foodie, family traveller, or LGBTQ+ couple, the campaign offers tailored itineraries that capture emerging lifestyle trends.

From peaceful wellness escapes for busy professionals to high-octane adventures for thrill-seekers, each experience offers a new way to see Thailand. Nature lovers can reconnect with the outdoors through unplugged forest retreats, while culinary travellers can dive deep into regional Thai BBQ culture and local food storytelling.

Empowering Every Type of Traveller

A key aspect of the campaign is inclusivity. Solo female travellers are invited to explore confidently, while active seniors are encouraged to chase bold bucket-list moments. Families will find memorable holiday options for Mother’s Day, pet owners can bring their furry companions along for the ride, and content creators can capture scenic backdrops to inspire their audiences.

Water lovers are not left out—rafting, snorkelling, and stand-up paddleboarding are just a few of the aquatic adventures on offer in this rainy season escape.

Big Discounts, Bigger Adventures

To boost participation, TAT has teamed up with a host of travel and lifestyle partners offering exclusive perks. Airline deals include fare reductions from VietJet Air (15%), Thai Lion Air (up to 25%), and Nok Air, plus bonus miles from Royal Orchid Holidays.

Travellers can enjoy accommodation discounts on platforms like Gother and Patois, and access budget-friendly car rentals through Pet Friendly Thailand, AVIS, and Chic Car Rent. Tour packages from Yacht Me, Love Andaman, and Local Alike are also discounted.

Banks and retailers are getting involved too, with cashback and point offers from Bangkok Bank, UOB, KTC, and BAAC, while PT petrol stations, Max Card, and the Max Me app double reward points. Additional partners like ShopBack, Bar B Q Plaza, SE-ED Book Centre, B2S, Canon, and GRAB are offering shopping, ride-hailing, and delivery deals. EGAT and EleX by EGAT round out the list with discounted accommodation and EV charging promotions.

Driving Domestic Tourism Forward

With an ambitious goal of attracting 250,000 travellers, reaching 10 million people, and generating 500 million baht in direct revenue, the campaign represents a significant push for sustainable domestic travel. These numbers also contribute to the national tourism goal of 1.17 trillion baht in domestic tourism revenue and 205 million domestic trips by the end of 2025.

By showcasing the diversity of Thailand’s lesser-known cities, “Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration” invites travellers to look beyond the usual hotspots and embrace a richer, more rewarding way to explore.
