Maisons Pariente has opened the 5-star Le Grand Mazarin in the Marais district

Also known as SoMa (South Marais) it offers boutiques, galleries, and gay bars. Once the city's Jewish quarter, the area still hosts numerous kosher restaurants.

The grassy Place des Vosges has elegant arcades and the Musée Victor Hugo, where the writer lived. Streets around Saint-Paul metro lead to the Maison Européenne de la Photographie.

Le Grand Mazarin has 61 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, winter garden and an indoor swimming pool and stages cabaret.

Michelin starred Israeli chef Assaf Granit who revisits the Ashkenazi culinary tradition in the hotel’s restaurant Boubalé, meaning "my little darling" in Yiddish.
