Hygna chalet village consists of 11 luxury wooden chalets

Hygna chalet village
Hygna chalet village, located in the Kitzbühel Alps, Austria, consists of 11 luxury wooden chalets that resemble traditional Tyrolean farmhouses.

The chalets vary in size and interior and for two or up to seven, with a private spa area to each consisting of a sauna, hot tub on the terrace or a freestanding bathtub Breakfast is delivered in a basket to the chalet door each morning.

E-bikes and e-cars (E-Golf) can be rented to explore the surrounding area. The village is near to the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, a popular ski area embracing four mountains with 45 ski lifts, two snowparks and 25 ski huts.

The property has been family-owned for a long time, but until recently was just an abandoned concrete ruin that had been unused for 30 years.

During construction, sustainability was considered from the very beginning. From spring to fall, a solar system generates all electricity.

In winter, a pellet central heating system provides cozy warmth. A sophisticated water system for the whirlpools saves water and electricity.

It is part of the Green Pearls portfolio of international tourism companies that support environmental protection and demonstrate social commitment.

The criteria for admission to Green Pearls needs to include a sustainability plan on management level, sustainable architecture, comprehensive water, energy saving and waste recovery measures, the use of seasonal and regional ingredients in the kitchen, as well as a large commitment for the social balance in each of the vacation regions.
