Bodrum, a port city at the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova, was known in ancient times as Halicarnassus, home to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
It is known for its waterfront castle, built by the Knights Hospitaller in the 15th century, which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
The new Maxx Royal Bodrum will be a member of Leading Hotels of the World and will join the Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort and Maxx Royal Kemer Resort in Antalya.
It will be located on a private peninsula in Göltürkbükü Turkey known for is fragrant pine forests and the waters of the Aegean Sea.
