The Gold Coast was named the best coastal destination in Australia for families to visit in this year's awards, with Dubbo in NSW awarded the gong for the best regional destination and Thredbo winning best Australian ski resort. The Hawaiian Islands received the award for the best international holiday destination for families, while Fiji was named best for babies or toddlers.
Paradise Resort Gold Coast was once again recognised for being the best hotel or resort for families in Australia, while BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort at Airlie Beach was named best place to camp. Bali Dynasty Resort received the award for best hotel or resort in Bali, and Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket was named best hotel or resort in Thailand for families. Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort received the award for best resort or hotel on mainland Fiji for families, while Planation Island Resort in the Mamanuca Island group was named the best hotel on the outer islands. When it comes to kids' clubs and nannies, Malolo Island Resort in Fiji was our readers' favourite.
BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park was named the best holiday park in Queensland for families, while BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park in Kiama received the equivalent award in NSW. BIG4 was also named the best holiday park group in Australia for families.
